Dr. Said Al Jundi - Your specialist for vascular surgery
Certificates and documents
My name is Said Al Jundi, born on July 28, 1980 in Gifhorn, Germany. As an experienced vascular surgeon, I have acquired a wide range of expertise and practical experience throughout my career. After my medical studies at the prestigious University of Damascus, Syria, which I completed in 2006, I obtained my German license to practice medicine in 2013. Since 2007, I have specialized in vascular surgery and continuously trained in various leading clinics.
In the early years of my career, I gained valuable experience at the vascular surgery clinic in Bad Bevensen. I then moved to Bielefeld, where I learned basic surgery. I continued my training in the Department of General, Visceral and Vascular Surgery at Franziskus Hospital in Bielefeld and expanded my knowledge at Elisabeth Hospital in Recklinghausen and St. Johannes Hospital in Dortmund, where I worked intensively on cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery and completed my specialist training there.
In 2015, I was recognized as a specialist in vascular surgery, and since then I have performed countless successful procedures. My specialty covers a wide range of operations on the blood vessels, including the treatment of narrowing of the carotid artery, aneurysms of the aorta and peripheral arterial occlusive disease, which often occurs in diabetics. I am proficient in both conventional and minimally invasive endovascular procedures, which make it possible to heal my patients more gently and quickly.
I have been Head of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Petrus Hospital in Wuppertal since February 2018. In this role, I am not only responsible for the surgical treatment of patients with complex vascular diseases, but also lead the development of innovative treatment approaches. I am particularly proud of my expertise in endovascular surgery, which uses modern, minimally invasive techniques to treat vascular diseases with the least possible stress for patients.
In addition to my clinical work, scientific work is very important to me. My doctoral thesis at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf dealt with an innovative system for administering chemotherapy via a special foam carrier. This was graded magna cum laude. I have also presented several scientific papers at international congresses and am an active member of specialist societies such as the German Society for Vascular Surgery and the European Society of Vascular Surgery. My commitment to research ensures that my patients always benefit from the latest developments in medicine.
I attach great importance to empathetic and patient-oriented care. It is important to me to take the time to address the individual needs of each patient and develop customized treatment solutions. Whether it is the treatment of varicose veins, bypass operations or the care of dialysis patients - my team and I provide comprehensive and professional care.
My family roots and my international network, including my memberships in medical associations, give me a unique perspective that I incorporate into my daily work.
I am pleased to be able to assist you as a highly qualified expert who not only relies on the latest medical technologies, but also places great value on a trusting doctor-patient relationship.
